I feel a real sense of progression from my preliminary task to my final radio station, not just in terms of my ability to use the technology but also in terms of the way that my research and planning skills will have developed. As my preliminary task was brief i didn't conduct any research before scripting it, I just did it, where as i constructed detailed research for my main radio show, as i contained many elements found in real radio.
Using the technology and equipment for my preliminary task gave me a sense of what could be achieved through editing and mixing, and the use of sound effects and allowed me to be truly creative with my ideas. once i was aware i could achieve this inspired me to create my complex advert (with a range of locations) and encouraged me to include outside broadcasts and sound bites in my news bulletin.
